Pelangikiukiu - An Information On The City
Pelangikiukiu is a suburb of Singapore that has
a population of approximately seven hundred thousand people. This is the second
largest suburb of Singapore and also has the distinction of being the largest
municipality in the country.
The area is known as the district's commercial
centre, with many banks, shopping centres, and restaurants in the area. The
main streets here are Jalan Kelian and Jalan Besar and they are serviced by bus
lines that can be found throughout the city.
Despite being the second largest suburb of the
metropolitan area, Pelangikiukiu is a relatively sleepy place with a few
suburbs that have more activity. It also has good public transport as most
lines can be used to get to any destination in the city.
The area is also covered by the Singapore Local
Authority and is covered by the regular mobile phone network coverage. Although
mobile network coverage in this part of the world is rare, many Singaporeans
use their phones and rely on their mobile phones as they still rely on their
landlines to make calls when they are in a foreign place.
One of the major attraction of this suburb is
the water. Pelangikiukiu Beach, which is just two kilometers away from the
center of the suburb, has a great water view and beach activities that draw
crowds to the area. It is located close to the Kranji MRT station that also
serves the suburbs.
Singapore's major tourist attraction, the
Marina Bay Sands, is just down the road from the suburb. A visit to the nearby
Wat Choo Chow is also a good option. The central business district, which is a
place for both domestic and international visitors to take a break from
sightseeing, is just a few minutes away.
For those who want to get away from the busy
downtown and the places in between, there is a popular cycling route that runs
through the suburbs of Lishui, Chinese Garden, and Changi Village. There are
also several walks that you can do along the beaches in the area, which will
take you to the areas around the Opera House and the Broadlands.
As a major tourist attraction, there is always
going to be a crowd in Pelangikiukiu. While it is known for its commercial
centres, it also has a good location to relax and enjoy some time away from the
hustle and bustle of the city.
